A dream season came to an end as Dallas found Aliquippa to be too much to handle in a 60-14 loss at Chapman Field on the campus of Cumberland Valley High School.
Dallas couldn’t get the early stops in the game. Aliquippa RB Tiqwai Hayes was a force to be reckoned with as he ran for 222 yards and 3 TD’s. The Quips defense also stood tall as they made Dallas QB Brady Zapoticky to move around the pocket a lot and forced turnovers.
Zapoticky was 9 of 24 for 137 yards and a touchdown but had 3 interceptions on the game. WR Zach Paczewski led the Dallas receivers with 5 catches for 67 yards. RB Dylan Geskey had 18 rushes for 48 yards.
The Mountaineers did get 2 scores in the game. WR Gavin Lewis caught a 39-yard TD from Zapoticky in the 1st quarter.

The Quips scored early and often in the first half as Dallas was down 24-7 at the end of the 1st quarter. In the 2nd quarter, Dallas looked to have gained back some momentum as they drew closer at 32-14 but the Quips scored just before half on an interception return for a TD to make it 40-14 at the half. The second half scoring was all Aliquippa, as RB John Tracy had 2 of the Quips 3 scores.

The Mountaineers finish the season at 15-1. On the horizon for Dallas, the future still looks promising as Zapoticky and Geskey will return as Seniors, with DB Nate Malarkey and K Rowan Laubach also key players returning for another season. Coach Rich Mannello’s squad will do what they always do: hit the weight room, lean on each other and grow as a unit.
