1. Central Bucks West-  The Bucks are our new number 1 team after a convincing victory in Week 3 over Quakertown 40-20 where they rushed for 442 yards. These Bucks are rolling on all cylinders at 3-0. In the first 3 weeks of the season, they have had a massive amount of success rushing the ball. They have rushed for 967 yards and don’t look to be slowing down. This week they have a tough conference game at Pennsbury (2-1).

2. Downingtown West- Downingtown West traveled to a refurbished Heart Break Ridge to take down Neshaminy 42-17. After a slow start, the Whippets are hitting on all cylinders. They travel to Avon Grove to take on the Red Devils Thursday night, with a showdown with Coatesville a couple of weeks away.

3. Downingtown East- For the second week this season the Cougars defense, led by linebacker Jack Griffiths’s 12 tackles, did not surrender a point, while a balanced offense of 226 yards passing and 247 yards rushing put up 37 points, in a victory over Delaware Valley. Downingtown hosts Bishop Shanahan to open up their ChesMont league play on Thursday night.

4. Spring-Ford- Coach Chad Brubaker Ram’s have begun the season on an offensive tear averaging a whopping 50 points per game through the first 3 games of the season. Last week QB Matt Zollers threw for 311 yards and 6 touchdowns in a 63-17 rout of Cumberland Valley. The Rams face a difficult test this week when they take on the 9th-ranked team in 6A by PFN: Manheim Township

5. West Chester Rustin- The Golden Knights took the title of King of West Chester by defeating West Chester East 32-15, in an affair that took two days due to a storm causing the game to be suspended Friday night. Rustin led 14-0, after a touchdown catch by tightend Billy Tigue, when the game was suspended. Saturday morning the Knights and Vikings returned to finish the contest. Rustin will try to avenge last seasons loss to Kennett Thursday night.

6. Garnet Valley- After taking down Penncrest last week 35-14 the Jaguars Central League winning streak now stands at 45 games. Lonnie Leraris leads the team with 280 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. The Jaguars have their home opener this week when they host Haverford.

7. Coatesville- The Red Raiders were overwhelmed by Central Dauphin 35-13, with Coatesville’s Quarterback Buggy Ortega throwing 5 interceptions. They will look to get back on track Friday hosting Penn Wood from the Del Val league.

8. Pope John Paul II-Despite the weather shortening their game last week against Berks Catholic the Golden Panthers still managed to put 35 points and are averaging 34 points per game thus far this season. They host Father Judge on Saturday afternoon

9. Perkiomen Valley- The Vikings are 2-1 after shutting out Chester 31-0 then losing to  Downingtown West 35-14. This past week they faced former State Champion Smyrna, a team from the State of Delaware and won 46-38. This week they host Suburban One League-American member Cheltenham (0-2).

10. Souderton- Our newest member of the top 10 is Souderton. The Big Red are undefeated (3-0) and prove that experience is a big factor in winning close games.  Week 1 saw them beat Haverford 21-17, Week 2 they pulled off a come-from-behind victory over rival Pennridge 19-14, then last week they upset Central Bucks East 23-21 on a field goal from SR PK Rylan Zuk. Soudy opens up conference play this week on Thursday when they travel to Council Rock North (0-3).
