What to Expect: Corry comes into the 2024 season looking to improve on their 3-7 mark in 2023. The Beavers return dual-threat quarterback Nolan Carey, who passed for 1547 yards while rushing for 695 and accounting for 21 total touchdowns. Carey’s top target, Rylan Smith, who caught 42 passes for 665 yards and eight touchdowns, was lost to graduation. Corry returns Nick Lesher and Will Allen, who earned first-team Region 5 honors at linebacker and defensive back, respectively. Nolan Carey was a second-team all-region quarterback. Allen caught 28 passes for 291 yards in 2023.

What to Expect: Fairview brings back a loaded roster in 2024 and will look to make a run in the District 10 3A playoffs. The Tigers have not won a District 10 title since 1992. Fairview advanced to the state semifinals that season before falling 34-13 to East Allegheny. Fairview was last in the District 10 final in 2006 when they lost to Wilmington 23-6. Quarterback Vinny Campoli will lead the way for the 2024 squad. He accounted for 1950 yards of offense and 24 total touchdowns in 2023. Tyler Benford returns to backfield after rushing for 534 yards and seven scores. Isaac Moore and Ahvilio Burgos both return after being selected to the second-team Region 5 offensive and defensive line, respectively. The Tigers must replace Jacob Harkness, who earned second-team Region 5 honors as a wide receiver and defensive back. Harkness led the Tigers with 24 receptions for 457 yards and four scores while leading the team in tackles with 95. Fairview will also need to replace first-team Region 5 kicker Michael Gennuso.

Key Players Returning – Damian Blose, John Duran, Carson Papay

What to Expect: Fort LeBoeuf enters 2024 after another successful 7-4 season. The Bison must replace 2638 rushing yards from Aiden Lesik, Connor McChesney, and Ryan Welka to get back into the postseason. Lesik led Fort LeBoeuf with 1131 yards and 13 touchdowns, while Welka chipped in with 537 yards and a score. Quarterback McChesney accounted for 970 rushing yards and a team-high 17 touchdowns while passing for 707 and another four scores. Leading the 2024 Bison will be Damian Blose, John Duran, and Carson Papay. Blose rushed for 212 yards while leading Fort LeBoeuf with 17 catches for 288 yards and four total scores. Damian Blose earned first-team Region 5 honors as a defensive back and second-team honors as a wide receiver. John Duran and Carson Papay earned second-team offensive line and defensive back, respectively.

What to Expect: Girard will look to improve on their 2-7 mark from 2023 under first-had coach Mark Brooks. The Yellowjackets bring back quarterbacks Carson Stevens and Ryan St. Julien, who combined to throw for 1362 yards—leading receiver James Kibbe, who caught 36 passes for 611 yards as a junior, also returns to the offense. Girard must replace two second-team Region 5 players from a season ago, Kaiden Miller and Tyler Gilmore.

Key Players Returning – Tobias Vahey, Tyshawn Jones, Heath Betza, Hunter Gonda, Ethan McAdoo

What to Expect: Harbor Creek will look to improve on their 4-6 record in 2023. The Huskies will build around Tyshawn Jones, who rushed for a team-high 1145 yards and 14 touchdowns. Jones earned first-team Region 5 honors last season. Harbor Creek must replace Zach Marshall, Lance Brown, and Rob Angelone, all Region 5 first-team selections in 2023. Huskies also return starting quarterback Heath Betza, who passed for 632 yards and four scores.

Key Players Lost – Donnell Gamble, Jamari Curlett, Jackson Humes, Jacob Babo, Ian Seymour, Landon Kelly, McKyle Albney

Key Players Returning – Colin Heaton, Joel Morey, Carter Crozier, Pascal Laporte, Bryson Galloway

What to Expect: Under first-year head coach Chris Grychowski, the defending Region 5 champions will have their work cut out for them in 2023. The Pickers are coming off an 8-3 season but will need to replace seven first-team Region 5 players from a season ago. Returning to lead North East in 2024 are a trio of second-team Region 5 selections from a season ago: lineman Colin Heaton, kicker/punter Joel Morey, and defensive back Carter Crozier. Bryson Galloway will likely take over at quarterback after passing for 75 yards and a touchdown as a freshman last season. Pascal Laporte rushed for 128 yards a season ago.
