Dunmore, Riverside add 5 standouts to 2023 PFN Coaches-Select Class 2A All-Star 2nd Team

Dunmore’s Danny Pigga and Riverside’s Reese Gaughan lit up the stat sheets all season, and it’s no surprise to see both make the 2nd team for PFN’s Coaches-Select Class 2A All-State Football Team.  A total of 5 players made the 2nd team team for District 2, 1 from Riverside and 4 from Dunmore.

For the Vikings, #4 Senior WR Reese Gaughan made the All-State 2nd team.  The Lackawanna Conference All-Time leading receiver had 29 total TD’s this past season.

On the Dunmore side, #2 Senior RB Danny Pigga had an all-around fantastic season on both sides of the ball and made the All-State 2nd team.  Pigga ran for 1752 yards and had 26 total TD’s for the season.

Joining Pigga on the 2nd team from the Bucks is his backfield partner, #29 Senior FB Jake Hickey who had 654 yards and 5 TD’s on the season while also being a terrific blocker.  Additionally from the Bucks, #77 Senior OG Rogan Dougherty made the 2nd team as well and was a key contributor on the Dunmore O-Line.  Also, Dunmore added #28 Junior Kicker Eric Reesey to the 2nd team as he had a terrific season on kickoffs, PAT’s and Field goals.

Congrats to the Dunmore Bucks and the Riverside Vikings on terrific seasons in 2023!
