Pine-Richland cruises past North Hills in conference opener, 48-6

Behind a 321-yard performance from quarterback Aaron Strader. Pine-Richland opened conference play in dominant fashion, dismantling North Hills 48-6.

The Rams set the tone early, with Strader connecting with senior Jay Timmons on an 8-yard touchdown pass to open the scoring. On the Rams’ next possession, Strader found the end zone again, this time with his legs, scoring on an 18-yard touchdown run. Senior running back Mac Miller capped off the dominant first quarter with a 2-yard rushing score, giving Pine-Richland a commanding 21-0 lead.

The onslaught continued in the second quarter as Strader hit Khalil Taylor in stride for a 66-yard touchdown. Miller added his second score of the night on a 1-yard plunge, and Strader wrapped up his evening with a 10-yard touchdown pass to Jalen Neals, pushing the Rams to a commanding 35-0 halftime advantage.

Miller added his third rushing touchdown in the third quarter to extend the lead, and in the fourth, Cooper Stiscak found freshman Kaeden Taylor for a 25-yard touchdown strike.

North Hills finally got on the board late in the fourth with a 1-yard touchdown run by Bo Wilcox.

With the win, Pine-Richland improves to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play. North Hills falls to 0-4 (0-1). The Rams will return home next week to host Plum, while the Indians hit the road in search of their win against Fox Chapel.
