District 3 2A Champion Camp Hill Lions (8-5) vs. District 2 2A Champion Dunmore Bucks (11-2)

What is at stake: Winner advances to PIAA Class 2A East Semifinal

About the Lions: Head Coach Tim Bigelow’s unit has won 4 straight games, winning the D3 2A championship last week 32-26 over West Catholic.

Camp Hill players to watch: This season, Junior QB Drew Branstetter has thrown for 3,151 yards with 13 TD’s and ran for 338 yards and 6 TD’s. Leading the ground game for the Lions is Senior RB Kobe Moore who ran for 450 yards and 1 TD but also had 8 receiving TD’s. For the receivers, Junior WR Alex Long had 67 receptions for 1,032 yards and 11 TD’s. Junior WR Noah Doi had 63 receptions for 885 yards and 11 TD’s. Defensively, Moore and Doi lead the Lions with over 140 tackles each on the season.

About the Bucks: Head Coach Kevin McHale’s team has won 8 in a row. Dunmore heads into the game off of a 41-21 win over District 11 2A champ Williams Valley in a PIAA Sub-regional matchup last Friday night. WR Danny Pigga rushed for 240 yards with 4 rushing TD’s and 1 receiving TD in the game.

Dunmore Players to watch: On the season, Senior QB Thomas Bowen has thrown for 1,022 yards and 12 TD’s and has gained 303 yards on the ground with 8 rushing TD’s. Senior WR Danny Pigga is a offensive weapon, having gained 1,499 yards on the ground and 482 receiving yards with 21 total TD’s. Senior RB Jacob Hickey has run for 571 yards and 5 TD’s, and Senior WR Domenick Desando chipped in 367 rushing yards and 237 receiving yards with 8 total TD’s. On defense, Desando and Pigga are part of a good secondary but it is a total team effort as you can usually hear the PA announcer saying an opposing player was tackled “by a herd of Bucks”.
