ProTime Phil goes for the Threepeat
Death, taxes and ProTime Phil’s high school picks; the only three guarantees in life. After toying with the other scribes from PaFootballNews.com for most of the season, ProTime Phil once again ran away with PaFootballNews.com’s ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge, after crushing the field in the inaugural Pick’em Challenge. Much like Andy Reid and his Kansas City Chiefs, ProTime Phil will be striving for a Threepeat in the Challenge. This year thirteen writers from the best high school football stable have embraced the chance to dethrone Phil. A new twist to this year’s contest will be that our loyal readers will have the opportunity to test their prognostication skills against the staff for the entire season. Last year we opened the contest up to readers during the playoffs. While there were some very impressive guesses submitted by the readers, no guest soothsayer was able to top the panel.
The contest will run from week zero (don’t get me started on calling the first week, week zero) until the 6A champion is crowned at CV. There will be twenty games on the docket each week, until we get deep in the playoffs. The games will be spread throughout the Commonwealth, we make our best effort to include as many of the feature games across all twelve districts, with all six classifications sprinkled in the contest. If you choose to be one of our guest pickers, make sure you get your picks in every week before noon Thursday.
