AND THEN THERE WERE FOUR

After 10 regular season weeks and 5 playoff rounds, PFN’s ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge has comedown to 3 guessers with a chance to win, 4 if you count yours truly (I would have to guess every game and Protime would have to miss every game.) To absolutely no one’s surprise Protime Phil, the OG of Pennsylvania high school football prognostication, sits at the top of the table coming off a panel week high 11/12 winners last week, with 134 winners. In second place just 2 wins behind with 132 correct picks are Hollywood and Alex. Hollywood went 10/12 missing the Red Bank/Fort Cherry tilt, Alex was level with Protime for the week at 11/12, everyone missed the Dallas/McDevitt instant classic OT game. At 131 wins Jared would need to be perfect and have the ole master have a bad week, but coming off a 11/12 week he still is in the fight for the championship belt, or at least a spot on the podium.

The race to get out of the cellar is between MasonDawg, who has wallowed in the cellar all year with 111 wins and Tristan and Dan, who are both at 113 wins. Technically Ed the Computer Geek could wind up at the bottom if is algorithms go haywire and he misses every game, while MasonDawg/Tristan/Dan have the weeks of their lives.

Once again, no reader was able to top the troika of Protime\Jared\Alex and their 11 for 12 week of winners. The readers were so close, with 6 of the 31 readers who made picks this week did tying the “experts” at 11 wins, but sadly no reader went a perfect 12 for 12 to take home the fabulous PFN prize package.

The race to the top of the table and the battle to the bottom will be concluded this weekend at the Chap. Who will win PFN’s ProTime Pick’em Challenge, my guess is the guy that won it last year and who it is named after, who will end up standing proudly on the podium and who will stagger to the recesses of the cellar?
