jwjst1 Becomes the First Joe to Outright Win a Week
Week thirteen of ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge proved to be a really weird one for our guessers. Congratulations to jwjst1 who became the first Joe to out select the Pros for weekly honors in the contest. If that wasn’t weird enough there was a three-way tie for weekly honors among the Pros at 15-5, the fact that three of the Joes tying at the top is unusual on its own. The weird thing is who those three top prognosticators are, the three-way tie was between yours truly (alright surprising but not weird), the other two top pickers were Tristin and NEPA. That’s right the cellar dwellers in week three of the playoffs whipped the OG Protime Phil (13-7), whipped current second place Matt (12-8) and whipped current third place holder Mayhem (11-9). Speaking of the King of the SOL Mayhem, he went missed the one game featuring SOL teams, to be fair so did every other Pro, he also had the worst weekly record of the Pros. I’ll take credit for Mayhem’s terrible week. Once I proclaimed he would overtake Protime Phil for the contest lead, the MUSH was on, his picks are doomed.
The answer to a probable future Jeopardy question is: who is jwjst1, of course the question is, who was the first Joe to outright defeat the Pros in ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge. Quite a feat by jwjst1, we the Pros tip our collective caps to you! This is the last week with 20 games on the dance card, can the Joes make it a streak by winning two weeks in a row….doubt it.
