WEEK EIGHT IS MOVING WEEK FOR THE PROS

As we enter week eight of the ProTime Pick’em Challenge, there is a log jam at the top with Matt and the OG, ProTime Phil, tied in first place (107 wins) with a gaggle of pretenders within striking distance. The race to the bottom is also starting to tighten up with NEPA, Tristan, 570Dan and Elon ED not putting up much of a fight, stuck with a win total still in the 80’s (much like Elon’s hair) it seems like they are fine all being cellar dwellers. There are a bunch of novice guessers in the 90-99 win total range, who hope to make a move this week. Something has to give, as we near the halfway point of the Challenge will this be the week when someone finally separates from the crowd to take control of the Challenge?

This week’s docket somewhat resembles the Challenge standings with a couple of battles that resemble our leaders ProTime Phil and Matt: A couple tilts of undefeated teams with Lewisburg taking of Shamokin, LaSalle fresh of it’s OT win over the Prep takes on Bonner (I’m old school DELCO) who defeated Roman Catholic and Clairton takes on Leechburg. On the other end of the spectrum, part of the docket looks like NEPA, Tristan, Elon Ed and 570Dan with games between teams searching for their first win with East Allegheny taking on Valley and Pleasant Valley will travel to Pocono Mountain East.

The Joes division will try to make amends for it’s pitiful display of guessing last week. I realize that setting the bar as high as beating all of the Pros is to high, so let’s lower the bar considerably and just try to tie Elon ED, he’s a computer geek how hard can that be?
