ProTime Phil and MATT Stay Neck and Neck at the Halfway Mark
With week 8 in the books ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge has reached the halfway point, to no one’s surprise the OG, two-time defending Champion ProTime Phil sits at the top of the standing. What is surprising is the MATT has kept pace with Phil, trailing in the contest by only one win. ProTime Phil has been spectacular the last five weeks, including this week’s 17-3 record to take the lead with a record of 124 wins against 36 losses for a ridiculous .775 winning percentage. Even as hot as ProTime Phil been he has been unable to shake MATT, who after a sizzling 16-4 week, sits just one win behind with 123 wins. At the midway point there are seven Pros within 10 wins of led.
Mayhem (119 wins), the Guru of the SOL, is alone in third place, followed by Mason (117). There is a tie for fifth place, at 116 wins, between Bossman Billy and Jared, incredibly both had a 15-win week and still lost ground to the leaders. Rounding out the Pros within 10 wins is Polka Alex (114) who himself is coming off a 15-5 week.
As a group the Pros have cobbled together a 1,437-643 record, a .69 winning percentage. Pulling that percentage down are NEPA and Tristan, coming off of an 11-win week, continue to battle it out for the race to the bottom. They sit in the cellar tied at 95 wins, trailing ProTime Phil by a mere 29 wins. The good news is both NEPA and Tristan should crack triple digits in wins after this week.
Pros Picks
The Joes continue to underperform the Pros. Q somehow was only able to pick 8 winners last week, while joey d had a very good week, incredible by Joes’ standards, with a 16-win week. Once again, no Joe was able to top the Pros’ weekly winner.
