WEEK FOUR of the PLAYOFFS the LAST FULL SLATE of GAMES
As we enter week fourteen of ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge, week four of the playoffs, this will be the last week of a complete twenty games on the docket. With that said, even after his poorest picking week of the year 13-7 Protime Phil (198) still leads the standings with a record of 198-62. Unfortunately for Phil’s nearest competitors Matt (193) and Mayhem had their worst picking week of the year also with only 13 and 12 wins respectively for the week. I will take full responsibility for Mayhem’s tumble, I put the ultimate Mush of him when I declared he would overtake the OG Protime Phil to win this year’s challenge. The rest of the Pros at this point are pretenders not contenders, unless Phil forgets to submit his picks for the next couple of weeks, the balance of the Pros have no shot at the title.
However, there is still some reasons for the Pros to grind it out for the next three weeks, PRIDE and to stay out of the basement. As for the Battle to the Basement, unbelievably Tristin, who has wallowed in the cellar all year, tied for the most correct guesses for the week by the Pros with 15 winners! As fate would have it the Pro he was chasing NEPA also had 15 wins. Leaving Tristin still five wins away from climbing out of the basement. For journalistic integrity, is there really such a thing anymore, it should be noted that yours truly also had 15 winners last week!
This week will let us see just how good a picker jwjst1 actually is as he follows up on his historic weekly win last week. Can he beat the Pros on back-to-back weeks, or will he be like DELCO Willie and follow up a big week with a dud?
***** At publishing time, it was yet to be decided but, we may have a full schedule if we add in Thanksgiving Day games to the playoff games to our docket.
