Riverside Vikings standout DL/OL has made his decision official: he’s headed to Rutgers.
Branch made the announcement this morning in front of a crowd of supporters at the Riverside High School gymnasium. Surrounded by his family and supporters, he had many kind words and acknowledgments, especially for his mom and coach Harry Armstrong.
Branch could be seen praying with his mom just prior to making the public announcement, and his mom was very appreciative of the support Tavian has received: “I just want to thank everyone, especially at Riverside, for the dedication, time and energy you guys put in for my son, “she said. “He loves football, so I know no matter what he is going to succeed.”
Tavian made his decision between Rutgers, Oklahoma, Penn State, Alabama and Notre Dame. The Scarlet Knights are apparently making a push to sign players from PA, and this is certainly a big piece of that movement.
Congrats to Tavian Branch and his entire family on this commitment!
