Six WPIAL players and coach named to PA Sportswriters Class 4A All-State Team

Tiqwai Hayes, Quentin Goode, Jake Wolfe, Courtney Dunn, Cam Lindsey, Alex Tatsch, Arison Walker, all represent the WPIAL in the PA Sportswriters Class 4A All-State Team

Head Coach Mike Warfield from Aliquippa won 4A Coach of the Year. Warfield improved his all time record to 74-6 while helping the Quips appear in four straight 4A WPIAL Championships and three straight PIAA State Championships as well. Most recently defeating Dallas 60-14 and completing their first ever undefeated season. 

Aliquippa also has four players represented in the 4A All-State Team this year. 

“Tikey” Hayes, a RB for the Quips, also was named Co-Player of the year in 4A. Hayes, who ran for 2,100+ rushing yards and 23 TDs has also found himself in the top 10 in WPIAL rushing yards all-time. 

Goode, a QB for the Quips, completed 59-percent of his passes throwing for 1,960+ yards and 26 TDs. Goode also not only became Aliquippa’s all-time leading passer but was named offensive MVP in the Parkway Conference. 

Lindsey, a LB/RB for the Quips, had 118 tackles 13 of which were for a loss, two fumble recoveries, one interception and two defensive TDs. Lindsey also had an impact on the offensive side with 420+ total yards of offense and 9 TDs. Lindsey was named Co-Defensive MVP in the Parkway Conference. 

Walker, a DB/WR for the Quips, led the team in interceptions with seven, he also recorded 55 tackles. He also led the team in receptions with 24 and had 299 yards and 8 TDs. 

Wolfe, QB from Montour, threw for 2,660+ yards and 31 TDs through the air. Wolfe also led his team in rushing with 860+ yards and 14 TDs. 

Tatsh, LB from Latorbe, led the Wildcats in tackles with 79 and had four interceptions and four sacks. Tatsh also helped offensively with his 374 total yards and nine TDs. 

Dunn, a O-Lineman for McKeesport and Cal U commit, had been named the Bill Fralic Memorial Award winner, meaning he was the best interior O-Lineman in the WPIAL. Dunn also had 51 solo tackles and five sacks on the defensive side of the ball.
