South Allegheny Advances With Dominant 61–13 Win Over Waynesburg Central

The South Allegheny Gladiators dominated the Waynesburg Central Raiders 61-13, claiming a commanding home playoff win. From the opening kickoff, the Gladiators asserted their superiority and never looked back.

Quarterback Alijah Cook completed 9 of 12 passes for 132 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. On the ground, South Allegheny piled up 200 rushing yards (7.7 yards per carry) on 26 attempts. Joey Gamret led the way with 12 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown, while freshman Marcel Boxley chipped in with 44 yards on six carries and two rushing scores.

In the receiving game, senior Drew Cook caught four passes for 52 yards and four touchdowns, and added a 69-yard kickoff return. Junior Malakai Myers secured two catches for 50 yards. The Gladiators’ offense churned out 332 total yards, split between 200 on the ground and 132 through the air.

Defensively, South Allegheny forced two interceptions, including one by Drew Cook. They held Waynesburg Central to just 13 points, limiting the Raiders to just one score in each of the second and fourth quarters.

With the win, South Allegheny improves to 10-1 and advances deeper into the postseason, while Waynesburg Central closes out their season at 5-6.
