The OG takes control of ProTime’s Pick’em Challenge

“EXPERTS EEK OUT A WIN OVER THE READERS

Week one of the playoffs brought a lot of excitement throughout the Commonwealth with exciting finishes, surprising upsets and surprise endings to some high school football team’s seasons. It was not a surprise that Protime Phil, the OG, took his rightful place on top of the table of the ProTime Pick’em Challenge or that PFN panel of expert pickers were able to outguess the readers. What was a surprise is that the winning percentage had to be extrapolated to the third decimal point for the writers to secure the win. Protime Phil had 8 of his picks win, while Bossman Billy had another bad week of picking, only guessing correctly on half of his picks, causing him to fall off his perch atop the table to third place, in the yearlong challenge and to the basement in the playoff portion of the tournament. Hollywood continued his winning ways with 7 wins, pushing him to second place in the contest.

This week we added the readers to the ProTime Pick’em Challenge, our readers proved to be well educated in Pennsylvania high school football, my guess is they poured over PFN’s meticulous playoff preview articles before they made their guesses. For the week the writers went 95/130 resulting in a .730 winning percentage, 15 of our brave readers weighed in with their picks, with a very respectable 109/150 record and a .727 winning percentage! Four readers achieved 9 victories, Steve12-Joe Kerr’s Mighty Claymore-Sa8nt-Dennis1961, to tie the top writers for the week, Alex and yours truly! Each were just one win away for a coveted PFN prize package!
