The familiar foes of Pine-Richland and Peters Township will battle again at Acrisure in the WPIAL Class 5A Championship. Last year, the Pine-Richland Rams came out on top, while Peters claimed the title in 2023.

No. 1 Pine-Richland (11-1) will attempt to overcome the undefeated Peters Township (12-0) this Saturday.

The Rams’ roster boasts a wealth of talent: quarterback Aaron “Oobi” Strader Jr., Ohio State-commit Jay Timmons and wide receiver Khalil Taylor. Pine-Richland is also backed by running back Maclane Miller, who has recorded 13 touchdowns this season, and Grant Pillar with 82 total tackles.

PT also boasts talent of its own, including Pitt-commit Reston Lehman, Villanova-commit Nolan Dilucia and Stanford-commit Lucas Shanafelt.

Dilucia, a standout quarterback, has thrown for almost 1,500 yards this season. Running back Cole Neupaver has scored 19 touchdowns this season, including two in the semifinals against Upper Saint Clair.

The Indians have ripped through their competition, winning by at least 25 points throughout the playoff bracket. The Rams come off a 10-point victory against No. 5 Moon and are on a 10-game winning streak.

The teams will meet at 8 p.m. on Nov. 22 at Acrisure Stadium.
