What made you choose football?

I chose football because I’m really into the fast-paced style of play and the team aspect of the game.

What’s your favorite football memory?

My favorite memory would be proving all the doubters wrong last year. Everyone said we were too small and unorganized, we proved them wrong and made it all the way to the D-10 championship.

What activities do you enjoy outside of playing football?

I like to play video games with my teammates and hang out with friends. I even enjoy fishing sometimes.

What non-football accomplishment are you most proud of?

I made it into the National Honors Society this past school year, and I’m pretty proud of myself for that.

Who is your favorite athlete, and why?

My favorite athlete is Tyrann Mathieu, for an athlete of his size; he really plays the game to the best of his ability and doesn’t back down from anything.

What has been the most difficult part of training during the pandemic, and how did you overcome it?

The most difficult part about training during this pandemic is not being able to be with my team. Our team really pushes each other in the weight room and on the field, it’s such a good feeling to have someone supporting you.

Do you prefer offense or defense?

Who is your biggest role model?

My dad he is a really hard worker and doesn’t let anything bother him. He’s really open-minded and is really good w his hands.

What are your parents most likely to yell from the stands?

My parents yell a lot from the stands. It usually consists of “Let’s go, Zack!” Or “Come on, hit someone!”

What are your team and personal goals for the season?

Some goals I have for myself would be to become a better leader and connect with my teammates more. A team goal I have is for my team to become a tight-knit unit or even a family. I want my teammates to be able to rely on each other through everything.

If you could have dinner with three people, living or dead, who would you choose?

Three people I would choose to have dinner with would be Sean Taylor, TJ Watt, and Ryan Shazier.

What hobby do you have that might surprise people?

A hobby I have that might surprise people is that I like to fish.

What’s your favorite sport, other than football, to play or watch?

My favorite sport to watch other than football would have to be hockey.

What is one thing you hope other players can learn from you?

One thing players can learn is never to let size define you, if you work hard and are determined, you can do anything you put your mind to.

What is your expectation of Grove City football this season?

My expectation of the Eagles football season? I think we’re going take the district by storm and go undefeated and take home that D-10 trophy.

What is your favorite TV show?

Criminal Minds

What is your favorite movie?

Stand By Me

What is your favorite subject in school?

What music do you listen to?
