Exciting news football fans in District 1! I’m back pacing the sidelines for my third year for PFN & again will be covering some intriguing matchups in District 1’s Suburban One League. Mark your calendars for the following matchups as my journey takes me across Bucks and Montgomery counties:

📍 William Tennent @ Council Rock South

New era at Tennent as newly hired head coach Colin Leach makes his debut at the helm

📅 9/1/23 – 7 PM
📍 Souderton @ Pennridge

New head coach Kyle Beller’s first home contest and it’s a local rivalry!

📅 9/8/23 – 7 PM
📍 CB West @ Quakertown

Last season this contest was a blowout, I think the Panthers keep it competitive

📅 9/14/23 – 7 PM
📍 Bensalem @ Upper Dublin

Battle of the Birds of Prey. What does UD do at QB with the graduation of Colin O’Sullivan and some big coaching changes?

📅 9/22/23 – 7 PM
📍 CB South @ Pennsbury

Was Pennsbury’s season a fluke? To everyone’s surprise, new coach Galen Snyder went 9-5 and won the conference.

📍 Plymouth Whitemarsh @ Cheltenham

While PW is undefeated in conference play over the last two seasons can they stop a team with so many D1 Prospects?

📍 Harry S. Truman @ Council Rock North

New HC Cordero Newkirk looks to be competitive as his squad goes up against a North Team that won by a TD last season

📍 Pennridge @ North Penn

Can Kyle Beller and staff keep this contest close? The Knights won easily last season but will a new-look Rams be so easy?

📍Springfield (Montco) @ Upper Moreland

Year in and year out this game is either a defensive slugfest or high flyin shootout! The last two meetings were decided by 7 & 2 points respectively. (14-12, 28-21) which preceded a 47-28 high flying affair.

📍 Central Bucks East @ Central Bucks West

These arch-rivals battle it out in the annual East vs. West Game! It’s going to be an electrifying atmosphere to say the least.
